Pouako
Kia ora my name is Te Hana Kahu I am from the West Coast of Taranaki - Ngāti Ruanui, born and raised in Ōtautahi Christchurch New Zealand. I moved to Western Australia in 2016 and was quick to seek opportunities to maintain the connection to my culture and country. Through Mau Rākau I am able to strengthen my mind, body and spirit and keep that connection to my homeland and whānau in Aotearoa, New Zealand. I am inspired by the eagerness of our youth of Ngaru Pou Mau Raakau, with guidance from Te Manawa Ora, Matua Malachi, Matua Pepe and Whaea Tat, and my support backbone the Ngaru Pou Komiti we are able to provide space for students from across the region to learn the skills and values under Te Whare Tū Taua o Aotearoa here in Noongar country, Perth. |
