THE TE MANAWA ORA CURRENT EMBLEM\LOGO
THE MEANING OF THE EMBLEM\LOGO
The head of the TAIAHA
The head of the spear is a mark or sign of the work of our ancestors, whom have passed the art form down from generation, to generation. Our ancestors have bestowed or have entrusted the art form onto us to look after and to help flourish to carry into the future and future generations. The 2 MANAIA on each side of the TAIAHA To instill balance within us. The side of TUMATAUENGA (God of War) & RONGO (God of Peace). We must learn and maintain the teachings of our ancestors. TE POROWHITA (The Circle) With your heart and my heart, we must stand strong, we must holdfast. This is our group, our family, our home away from home for all Maori. We pay tribute to the creator of this emblem\logo Mark Te Hau |
